Help raise money for the School
The Fundraising Group is pleased to announce a further initiative to raise additional funds for school improvements which will facilitate a better learning environment for all students.
We are now linked with Easyfundraising. Easyfundraising are a non-profit organisation who work in partnership with retailers and fundraisers. Simply by clicking on the Easyfundraising button on the school website when online shopping will enable additional funds to be raised for the school.
There is NO additional cost either to you (you will pay the same price for the product) or to the school. All it requires is a few extra mouse clicks when you are shopping online!
The link is now on the School website and I would urge you all to give it try, especially for your Christmas shopping, as the School will benefit directly from each and every purchase. (Retailers involved with Easyfundraising include Argos, Amazon, John Lewis). Further details on how to use Easyfundraising are appended to this letter.
Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising a free donation for Bullers Wood School. There are nearly 3,000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, the trainline and Sainsbury’s, who will donate a percentage of the amount you spend to Bullers Wood School to say thank you for shopping with them. It’s really simple, and doesn’t cost you anything.
All you have to do is:
1. Go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk
2. Sign up for free
3. Get shopping – your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to
Bullers Wood School.
It couldn’t be easier! There are no catches or hidden charges and Bullers Wood School will be really grateful for your donations.
All parents have the opportunity to join the Friends of Bullers Wood and make regular contributions or a one off donation. In this way we will be able to continue to offer a unique and special experience to your child. The Friends of Bullers Wood have for many years raised additional funds for the school through a Covenant Scheme. We are looking to significantly enhance our income from this to support improvements around the school which will deliver improvements for as many students as possible. The Covenant Scheme is a particularly effective way of doing this as taxpayers are eligible to register through the Gift Aid scheme to secure extra funding from the government (25%).
We remain acutely aware of the economic pressures currently facing family budgets, but would ask you to consider making a welcome and valued contribution. £10 per month is a suggested contribution, but the amount you donate would be for you to decide; you can pay monthly by standing order, or if you prefer, a one-off single payment. Of course, if you are able and wish to contribute more than this the school will benefit all the more. Irrespective of the amount you are able to afford, any and every donation will make a real difference to your child’s experience at the school and will enrich and enhance the opportunities available to them.
All you need to do is to complete and sign the Gift Aid form.
