Speak Out Competition

On Monday the 27th March 2017, Enakume Itoje and Britney Bullen spoke at Darrick Wood School as part of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Competition. Following being identified as potential finalists at The Speak Out Workshop where 50 Year 10 students received public speaking training earlier in the term, they were selected to represent the school, by their year group, following a ‘Speak Off’ at their year assembly. With speeches entitled ‘Letting someone know’ and ‘Celebrity Culture’, both students gave very strong performances to a large audience, including The Deputy Mayor of Bromley and a range of civic representatives.
